We Are Free To Choose

2Nephi 10:23 "Therefore, cheer up your hearts, and remember that ye are free to act for yourselves—to choose the way of everlasting death or the way of eternal life"

We are given choices to make, which side to choose. America has chosen and as a nation not made good choices for some time. Actually, just as no person is perfect and all need to repent of their errors and shortcomings; a country can be repentant of their collective errors. These scriptures deal with a more ominous situation than just normal sins, but relate to willful choices to follow Satan or God.

How has America decided to take God out of an influencing part in daily life. America has passed laws that minimize God's influence and has tolerated wicked judges, law enforcement, lawyers and politicians. God influenced the discussions and writing of the Constitution, now men ignore that Celestially inspired document. Prayer and the Bible are outlawed from education of the youth who need God's wisdom and influence the most.

A wise country once chose to follow God. A foolish country decided long ago to leave God out of deliberations and decisions and chose to follow an easier and supposedly more pleasant way. Satan promised a lot but has delivered little and never is honest with his intentions. A war is being fought for the very souls of all men and each man and woman can choose their master. Choose for you and your family what master to follow, which will either lead to happiness or despair and sadness.

Mormon 5:21-24 "21 And also the Lord will remember the prayers of the righteous, which have been put up unto him for them."
